introducing: direct support

First Generation Grant Program

At the beginning of 2026, FGPM envisioned a direct support initiative that would minimize the financial burdens of the first generation experience. Our goal wass to show our community’s first generation students and young professionals that they are seen and to reward their hard work and perseverance as they navigate unfamiliar life experiences.

Through careful planning and incredible donor support, FGPM is pleased to announce the First Generation Grant Program. Through the First Generation Grant Program one Awardee will receive $500 for academic or emerging professional needs. The Grant opens on August 1 and closes on September 1, so submit your application today!

For more information, qualifications, grant award priorities, and timeline, see the official Grant Program Page or visit the Application through the button below!
